Thursday, April 5

Maundy Thursday, St. Alban’s, 885 Shore Road, Cape Elizabeth. Ties the events of the Last Supper to those of Good Friday. Members will wash each other’s feet (optional) in imitation of Jesus; strip the altar of decoration and leave in silence, or stay to keep watch in prayer. Services include a 6:30 p.m. children’s program where they will gather to bake bread for Communion and will also learn about the significance of the Last Supper and the washing of the feet. Service of Communion begins at 7 p.m., followed by a vigil that will last until 8 a.m. on Good Friday. FMI, call 799-4014.
