Celebrate Earth Day with the South Portland Land Trust and Soma Massage & Wellness!

Each year neighbors, friends and family gather in our community to help with a spring clean up. This is a great time to get involved and stay active while improving and taking pride in our city. If you’ve wanted to learn more about the city’s land trust or are curious about the many trails, picnic areas, bike paths and more that South Portland has to offer, this is a great opportunity to find out. Supporting Earth Day events is more than just about picking up trash. It’s about community building, meeting new friends and neighbors. It teaches our children about the importance of protecting open space, building connections with nature and keeping our bodies healthy and strong. So come on out and join the fun this April 21st!

To honor earth day Soma Massage will be sponsoring a Free Qi Gong class in Mill Creek Park at 8am followed by registration for the 13th annual clean up with the South Portland Land Trust at 8:30am (see SouthPortlandLandTrust.org for neighborhood meetups). When you’re done, be sure to head over to Soma Massage & Wellness located at 6 Cottage Rd for a continuation of Earth Day Celebrations. Soma will be providing paper pots and planting materials for kids to make their own seedlings and a special talk with Dr. Colleen Monroe about how being responsible stewards of the earth helps in keeping ourselves healthy too.
