Raffle supports land trust

The Cape Elizabeth Land Trust, in conjunction with its fifth annual Paint for Preservation Wet Paint event on July 22, has begun selling raffle tickets for an original oil painting, courtesy of Gleason Fine Art.

“Monhegan Trees,” by Andrea Peters, is valued at $4,800. The painting is on view at Gleason Fine Art Gallery, 545 Congress St., Portland. An image of the painting may be viewed at the CELT office, 330 Ocean House Road, or online at www.capelandtrust.org, where raffle rules are posted.

The drawing will be held July 22 and the winner need not be present to win. Proceeds from the raffle will support the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust’s Saving Cape’s Great Places initiative to preserve local strategic conservation lands.
