South Portland Police are searching for a woman who robbed the TD Bank on Maine Mall Road Thursday night.

Sgt. Steven Webster said a woman entered the bank about 7 p.m. and robbed the teller of an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said she did not show a weapon, but indicated she was carrying one.

The woman was described as white or Hispanic, approximately 20 to 25 years old, 5-feet, 2-inches tall with a medium build and dark colored hair. She was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with “GAP” written across the front and a New York Yankees baseball hat.

She allegedly was last seen entering the passenger side of a white SUV that was parked behind Friendly's restaurant, near the bank. Police said it appeared that someone else was driving the vehicle when it left the lot.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Chris Todd of the South Portland Police Department at 799-5511 ext. 7448.
