Suggest nonprofits to win grants from To wn & Country

Town & Country Federal Credit Union kicked off its 2012 annual Better Neighbor Fund charitable giving campaign that will see eight nonprofits across Cumberland and York counties share $25,000 in grants.

The fund has already distributed $50,000 in grants since its inception in fall 2010 to 16 area charitable organizations.

Through Friday, Sept. 21, Town & Country will accept entries for the 2012 Better Neighbor Fund. The first 25 entrants that best meet the qualification criteria will be selected as nominees and advance to the voting phase, which will take place through Town & Country’s Facebook page.

Town & Country President and CEO David Libby said his organization is passionate about the community it serves and wants to help the people who live here.

“We are proud to support organizations working to strengthen our community and we express our goal of being a better neighbor by giving back to the nonprofits and charitable organizations that address vital community needs,” he said.
