City’s HolidayFest was quite a success

To the editor:

Even the rain couldn’t dampen the spirits and the lights that illuminated Mill Creek Park on Dec. 7. The crowd- pleasing perennial favorites were there – the horsedrawn carriages, Santa in his city council workshop, grilled hot dogs, hot popcorn, hot cocoa and the amazing voices of South Portland middle and high school chorus students.

At the countdown, the trees came sparkling to life and the singers filled the air with seasonal sounds. It truly is a magical time of year, and this year’s HolidayFest was a delight for all. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our generous partners, without whom we could not bring such joy and wonder to the children (of all ages!) of our community.

Thank you to the partners, donors and sponsors: Ainsworth, Thelin & Raftice, Chiropractic Healing Arts (Dr. Fawn Dunphy), Edward Jones Investments, Evergreen Credit Union, Hannaford, Headlight Audiovisual, Noyes Hall & Allen Insurance, South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Community Chamber, city of South Portland, South Portland School Department, South Portland High School and Middle School Choruses and their teachers for their wonderful musical contribution, South Portland Parks and Recreation Department, South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Rotary , Shoppers True-Value Hardware, SOMA Massage and Wellness, Stillbrook Acres, sleigh rides, Waterfront Graphics and Printing and The Waterfront Market Association.
