Center Day Camp

Center Day Camp, located on beautiful Sebago Lake, was established in 1949 by the Jewish Community of Greater Portland. Since that first summer, campers of all faiths have been returning each year to CDC to build friendships, make memories and learn new skills. Over the years Center Day Camp has become known as one of the very best day camps in Maine. Center Day Camp fosters a strong sense of belonging and connection. Everyone at camp is valued for who they are and respected for what they contribute. Our vision is that all Center Day Camp campers will build confidence by making new friends, exploring new interests, discovering new abilities and learning new skill.

Enrollment has kicked off, so get your paperwork in before spots fill up! CDC has one week or more camping options from June 20-August 26th for boys and girls ages 3-15. Along with playing soccer and baseball on our first rate regulation fields, we will be aiming for the bulls-eye in archery, acing our serve at tennis, venturing through the trails on mountain bikes, and canoeing the Sebago basin. Campers will continue to improve their swimming skills during our daily Red Cross lessons, “come about” in one of our fleet of sailboats, throw a bowl on the wheel at ceramics, and send your regards to broadway as part of our theater program. There will be overnight adventures, hiking trips, fishing, dance, and gymnastics. All campers entering grades 6-9 get to go on an exciting field trip every Wednesday to places like Funtown, Attitash, Seacoast Fun Park, and more. Don’t forget to check out our 9thweek specialty camps. Wouldn’t you love to spend the whole week doing something that you love? Baseball, Soccer, Sailing, Pottery, Lacrosse and Theater are offered during this one week camping experience, August 19th-23rd. Center Day Camp is the place to be this summer. Just 13 miles west of Portland- transportation included. For more information please contact Eli Small ore Amy Brier, 207-772-1959. www.centerdaycamp.org
