SPHS grad ordained

South Portland native Joe Donahue, a 2000 South Portland High School graduate, was ordained May 11 at a ceremony held at South Portland Church of the Nazarene. On May 12, he officially graduate from Nazarene Theological Seminary with his master’s degree in divinity.

He enrolled in Eastern Nazarene College and graduated in 2004. In 2005 he married and moved to Kansas City, Mo., (in the same week) and enrolled in Nazarene Theological Seminary to pursue his master’s degree. Since 2007 he and his wife Julie (Quinlan) have had three children, Amelia, Andrew and Ezra. The family moved back to Maine in 2009. While always working as a programmer/analyst for a local firm, he was living in Lisbon Falls as a youth pastor for four years at the Lisbon Falls Church of the Nazarene until January 2012, when he applied for a position as senior pastor at Ellsworth Church of the Nazarene. He was accepted and recently completed his first year.
