A joy-filled hour of yoga, breathing and user-friendly dance with fabulous music. A funky, sacred, inspirational dance of the multi-dimensional self, bringing tons of fun and healing to body, mind and spirit. No registration required; no experience necessary. Free.

An evening with John Ford, 6:30 p.m., South Portland Main Library, 482 Broadway, South Portland. The retired Maine game warden and author will speak about his two memoirs.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

Public supper, 5 to 6:30 p.m., VFW Post 832, 50 Peary Terrace, South Portland. Menu includes pork loin, scalloped potatoes, vegetables, rolls and dessert.
