Laughter yoga, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Nina Walsh, certified Reiki master, will lead this drop in class, which is a combination of voluntary laughter that often turns to real laughter, yogic breathing and relaxation techniques. No experience necessary.

Flag placement, 9 a.m., South Portland War Veteran’s Memorial Association will place flags in the city’s five cemeteries, meet at VFW Post 832, 50 Peary Terrace, South Portland.

Free supper, 4:30 to 6 p.m., Elm Street United Methodist Church, 168 Elm St., South Portland.

Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse opening, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the breakwater at Fort Preble, on the Southern Maine Community College campus.

Plant sale, 9 a.m. to noon, Peoples United Methodist Church, 310 Broadway, South Portland.

Kehilah Portland Messianic Jewish Synagogue meets, 10 a.m., Greater Portland Christian School, 1338 Broadway, South Portland. Torah study follows at 1 p.m. FMI, call 809-3104.

Farmers market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., South Portland Planning and Development building, 496 Ocean St.

Worship, 8:30 a.m. in chapel and 10 a.m. in main sanctuary, First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, 301 Cottage Road, South Portland.

Worship services, 9:30 a.m., Thornton Heights United Methodist Church, 100 Westbrook St., South Portland. Everyone welcome.

Church services, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with fellowship after, Elm Street United Methodist Church, 168 Elm St., South Portland. It also hosts Bible study. Monday, May 26

South Portland Memorial Day parade, 10:30 a.m., starts at Southern Maine Community College at the end of Broadway and continues past Pratt Abbott to Veteran’s Memorial Monument. A short ceremony will follow parade. At noon there will be a wreathlaying ceremony at the public boat landing.

Tuesday, May 27

Functional fitness, 11 a.m. to noon, Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Fatigue-busting workout combines light aerobic exercise, strength training, balance and relaxation. FMI, call 774-2200.

Private performance benefits South Portland Hot Waters, which is raising funds for a new hot tub at South Portland Community Center. Tickets can be purchased at city all and at the community center.
