For local businesses, there are two opportunities to participate in the Bug Light Festival: booth space that will highlight the goods and services businesses provide, and sponsorship of the event itself. Cohen-Tracy said sponsorship of the event is a key to building a strong buy local community and establishing goodwill within the two municipalities.

“So many folks were so appreciative of last year’s festival and the fact that it was a totally free event. This couldn’t have happened without the significant contributions of several local businesses and their willingness to sponsor. In a community like this, folks notice when a small business makes a commitment and contribution to the neighborhood it exists in.”
