Sacred Stories is Monday at city hall

To the editor:

This is long overdue but not forgotten. Each semester I do a program at Southern Maine Community College called “Sacred Stories” where young refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants tell powerful stories that tell of their courage, challenges, memories, successes and lessons. These stories are powerful and life changing.

Tony Vigue of SPC-TV produces this program for our local television station. He does an incredible job, along with Moe Amaral, and creates a history of this amazing work.

We are also scheduled for another live performance at South Portland City Hall at 10 a.m. Monday, June 30. This will be our first morning show, but if you are free, please come, sit and listen. Your support for these incredible young men and women is so needed and so welcomed.
