Race welcomes sponsors

Dead River Company is a new corporate sponsor of the TD Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race Saturday, Aug. 2, serving as the official energy partner of the race as well as the Kids Fun Run presenting sponsor.

Dead River Company, a Maine-based energy company, joins a group of 11 corporate partners that help make the 17-year-old TD Beach to Beacon a success.

“We are thrilled to be the Official Energy Partner of the 2014 TD Beach to Beacon,” said Bob Moore, Dead River Company president. “As a family-owned company that operates in what is undeniably one of our country’s most beautiful regions, we are proud to take part in this event that attracts runners to Maine’s coast from around the globe.”

Olympia Sports also joins as a new corporate partner this year, serving as the race’s official Sporting Goods Retailer.

“It’s hard to describe just how grateful we are for the generous and vital support we receive from our sponsors, new and old,” said race President Mike Stone. “In addition to being a world-class road race, the TD Beach to Beacon 10K truly has grown into a celebration of health and fitness for the entire region. The stature of this race would not be maintained without the continued support we receive from all of our sponsors. We can’t thank them enough.”

Following is the list of sponsors that help make the TD Beach to Beacon possible, from title sponsor TD Bank to other sponsors since year one:

Corporate partners: TD Bank, NIKE, Hannaford, IDEXX, Poland Spring, Northeast Delta Dental, WCSH6 TV, MaineHealth, Dead River Company and Olympia Sports.

Prize money sponsors: TD Bank, UNUM, Anthem BlueCross BlueShield, Northeast Delta Dental, L.L. Bean and Thos. Moser.

Race supporting sponsorship: Oakhurst Dairy.

“Just like the world-class runners we attract each year, our sponsors include some of the most recognizable and trusted names in Maine, the region and around the world,” Stone added. “We couldn’t be more pleased to add Dead River Company, Olympia Sports and all of our new sponsors to that list this year.”

Moore said the race is a natural fit with his company’s mission.

“Dead River Company believes it’s both a privilege and responsibility to be an active member of the communities we serve. The TD Beach to Beacon shares our commitment to community.”
