Laughter yoga, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Nina Walsh, certified Reiki master, will lead this drop-in class, which is a combination of voluntary laughter that often turns to real laughter, yogic breathing and relaxation techniques. No experience necessary.

Saturday, Oct. 4

The Bellamy Jazz Band, 7 to 8:30 p.m., South Portland Public Library’s Main location, 482 Broadway. Part of the library’s free, after hours concerts.

Heirloom public supper, 4:30 to 6 p.m., Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church, 280 Ocean House Road, Cape Elizabeth. Supper will feature dishes made from locally grown produce and ingredients, including casseroles, beans, salads, breads and pies. Take out available. FMI, visit www.ceumc.org.

Blessing of the Animals, 2 p.m., outdoor chapel of Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church, 280 Ocean House Road, Cape Elizabeth. Entrance to the trail that leads to chapel is located at the far end of church parking lot. All animals welcome.

E-waste collection, to benefit Musica De Filia, Scarborough Marden’s parking lot, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Will help choir with goal to perform at Carnegie Hall. Accepted items include monitors, computers, lap tops, fax machines and microwaves.
