Business owner is good candidate

To the editor:

As a former small business owner in South Portland, I believe that running a company in Maine should be a requirement for serving in the state Senate. Their votes in Augusta are vital to Maine companies – and can literally mean the difference between hiring more new employees, breaking even or closing your doors.

With this in mind, I encourage your support for Bill DeSena, who’s running for the Maine Senate. He is a Maine business owner who knows what Augusta can do to help companies grow and hire additional people. He also supports policies that will create good jobs and help our children and grandchildren stay here in Maine.

I trust Bill DeSena to represent my city in the Maine Senate. I encourage others to learn more about him.

John F. Ridge
