Cape businesses collaborate on event

The Cape Business Alliance’s fourth annual Christmas on the Cape event will take place 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. It will end with a tree lighting in front of the Cape Elizabeth Public Safety building at 5:15 p.m.

The evening will include digital photos with Santa Claus from 3 to 5 p.m. at community services, reindeer food making (Alewives Brook Farm and Jordan’s Farm) and whimsical arts and crafts (MAINELY Chiropractic) at the Fire Station, holidaycard making at Shore Things, Christmascookie decorating at Re/Max Oceanside, Christmas crafts at Polly’s Haircare Center, pet photos with Santa at the Veterinary and Rehabilitation Center of Cape Elizabeth from 2 to 4 p.m., Toy Fun at Something’s Fishy, gift bag making at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, sugar cone Christmas-tree making at Kindred Assisted Living-Village Crossings, letters to Santa at Coastal Wellness Family Chiropractic, holiday cookie fun at Cape Memory Care and C-salt will have free hot chocolate.

Families who wish to participate in the scavenger hunt can pick up a form at one of the participating businesses starting Nov. 25, or at the beginning of the event. That night, participants will have their forms stamped at each business and turn them in at the end of the night, at the tree lighting. There will be a drawing for several cash gift certificates for those who have visited at least 10 businesses. The event is free event.
