The South Portland Big Red Junior Varsity Football Team won the Maine Youth Football League State Championship, defeating the Freeport Falcons 12-6 on Oct. 25 at Deering High School. The Big Red is one of two South Portland youth teams, comprised of fifth and sixth graders.
