Lucky Pup Rescues

Roxy was surrendered as the owner was planning to shoot her because she is naughty with the chickens, so thank goodness the animal control officer was able to talk him out of killing the dog. We were told she is a lab-airedale mix and she sheds very little. She is about 60 pounds. She was living partially indoors and was crated any time she was alone indoors. Roxy is 6 years old. Lucky Pup Rescue doesn’t know much about her behavior with other dogs but she chases cats and small animals so most likely needs a home without feline friends. Roxy is not a big barker, just as an alert when someone comes in the driveway. Roxy loves to have human visitors. She will jump for joy until you tell her “down” and hold your hand up, and she will be more polite. She might bowl a small child over but wouldn’t hurt them on purpose. She likes to run and play, and to chase sticks. On a leash she tends to pull but is easily corrected by you stopping to wait, and then will heel nicely.
