‘Chocolate Trail’ author to visit city

Congregation Bet Ha’am, a reform Jewish synagogue at 81 Westbrook St. in South Portland, will welcome Rabbi Deborah Prinz, author of “Jews on the Chocolate Trail” for the annual Bernstein Scholar-in-Residence program and book signing. The public is welcome to join the events on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2,.

Prinz draws from her world travels on the trail of chocolate to enchant chocoholics as she unwraps the role of Jews in the trade, retail and manufacture of chocolate since it was first introduced to Europeans.
