Dollars for Scholars fundraiser, 4 to 9 p.m., Willows, 1422 Broadway, South Portland. A percentage of all sales will be donated to the South Portland High School scholarship fund.

Strength training with TheraBands, 9 to 10 a.m., Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Class will use a series of videos created for the center by local doctor and cancer survivor Ben Thompson. Class is drop in; no advance registration needed.

Alzheimer’s Support Group, 7 p.m., First Congregational Church, 301 Cottage Road, South Portland. Meeting is for families and friends of those affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia and is held the second Monday of the month.
