Friday, Sept. 4

First Friday Lunch, noon to 1 p.m., Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Visit the center, break bread with others who have been touched by cancer. Free; supported by local restaurants.

Massage therapy, with Monica Thompson, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Benefits of oncology massage may include reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep, increased alertness and mental clarity, less nausea and reduced pain. Call 408-1058 to schedule a 15-minute session. Preference is given to new participants and patients in active treatment.

Laughter Yoga, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Nina Walsh leads the class, which is a combination of voluntary laughter that often turns into real laughter, yogic breathing and relaxation techniques. FMI, call 744-2200.

Saturday, Sept. 5

Yoga, tennis and paddle boarding excursion, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fort Williams, Cape Elizabeth. Lunch provided. Includes meditative walk along shore. FMI, call 299-0082.

Tuesday, Sept. 8

Functional fitness, 11 a.m. to noon, Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Fatigue-busting workout combines light aerobic exercise, strength training, balance and relaxation. FMI, call 774-2200.

Greater Portland Living with Freedom, Nar-Anon family group, 6 to 7 p.m., for anyone affected by the addictive behavior of someone they love. Mercy Recovery Center, 40 Park Road, Westbrook.

Wednesday, Sept. 9
