Sign of love

Grand Street resident Michael Pock poses with a newly refurbished sign installed Nov. 25 marking the edge of Ferry Village, the oldest neighborhood in South Portland and one of the oldest communities in Maine. With the old sign starting to look run down, Pock and Guy Linscott took it down last spring. Pock, a self-employed carpenter, rebuilt the frame while another local resident, Brian Lundquist, repainted and stenciled the sign.
