Medical cannabis discussion group, noon to 1 p.m., Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Learn how to make glycerin and butter for medical marijuana. Alzheimer’s Support Group, 7 p.m., First Congregational Church, 301 Cottage Road, South Portland. Meeting is for families and friends of those affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia and is held the second Monday of the month.

Strength training with TheraBands, 9 to 10 a.m., Cancer Community Center, Main Street, South Portland. Class will use a series of videos created for the center by local doctor and cancer survivor Ben Thompson. Class is drop in; no advance registration needed.
