Fab lab introduced at Dyer Elementary

To the editor:

Dyer Elementary School in South

Portland has an exciting new maker’s space for students in kindergarten to grade five. The new fab lab is a creative, do-it-yourself space where students gather to create, invent and learn. Dyer school is looking for volunteers to share their talent, knowledge, skill and crafts in a workshop environment either during school hours or after. If you are interested in working with the students, the signup is found at:

The school has a wish list of materials and one thing they can truly use is Legos, lots and lots of Legos. If you have them stored away waiting to inspire and excite lucky kids, please bring them to Dyer School at 52 Alfred St. where they will be used by students to invent unique and wonderful things.

More information about the fab lab can be found at https://dyerelementary. wordpress.com/.
