What’s up with city regulations?

To the editor:

“Utterly dumbfounded” barely describes my reaction to the article in last week’s Sentry, “Yaz Towing denied curb cut for proposed business.”

Did I miss something? Did this same group of people not approve zoning changes to turn the South Portland Armory into a gas station and convenience store in the middle of the state’s worst intersection? I don’t see how that project will not involve a curb cut. If there is any type of change to that intersection, it will clearly violate South Portland regulations based on this information. How is it that their rules apply to some but not others? Is this the next lawsuit?
