Almost picture perfect

Often touted as the most photographed lighthouse in America, Portland Head Light, located in Cape Elizabeth's Fort Williams Park, has not been the stuff of postcards for the past month, as the light, originally commissioned in 1791, has been sheathed in scaffolding while undergoing $65,000 in repairs to its stone masonry and repainting of the 92-foot-tall beacon. The project, delayed by recent inclement weather, is now expected to wrap up by the end of June.
