Although listed in South Portland planning documents with the same address (1 Spring Point Dr.), Milly’s Skillet is not the name of the restaurant destined for the new building approved June 28 to replace the former Joe’s Boathouse eatery. According to Robert Soucy Jr., president of Spring Point Marina, his family reached an agreement with Molly Ritzo to bring a food truck into the marina until the new, still-unnamed, restaurant is up in running. That’s not expected to be until the end of 2016, at the soonest, he said. Ritzo currently operates food trucks on Peak’s Island and in Falmouth, according to her website, millysskillet.com. South Portland Community Planner Steve Puleo said Tuesday that Ritzo’s operation is being reviewed July 16 by the planning board as a “stationary vending unit,” similar in set-up to the Love Kupcake truck parked beside Bull Moose Music, on Waterman Drive.
