This wreath and memory board, laid Saturday, Aug. 27, at the street sign for Wallingford Drive, marks the line of duty death 20 years ago of South Portland Fire Department Capt. Robert “Bobby” Wallingford. Located at the intersection of Madison street near Bug Light Park, the cross street is located immediately behind the Portland Welding Company building, where Wallingford had a heart attack while responding to a fire at the business.
