Understanding trumps bullying

To the editor:

I was thrilled beyond belief to read the article by Michael Kelley in last week`s Sentry, “Schools launch violence prevention training.”

As a retired clinical psychologist who has seen first hand the damage that can be done in families, schools and surrounding communities by racial and gender stereotypes, I applaud the good folks Kelley writes about who are developing and implementing such great programs for area kids and adults.

Because it appears we will be having a president who is and will be the very worst kind of role model for how we want our children to communicate and behave with the people in their lives, these programs are more important than ever so that we as a people can find ways to trump

Donald Trump in every way possible.
