Join discussion about cancer

The Cancer Community Center host a Community Conversation with Maine’s Impact Cancer Network, a project of the Maine Cancer Foundation, 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 at the center, 778 Main St. in South Portland.

The Cancer Network is a statewide initiative to collaboratively address the high rates of cancer in Maine.

Conversations are happening around the state and are a chance for people to discuss what is happening with cancer in their lives, professions or communities. The goal is to find ways to work together to create the change we would like to see for cancer in the state.

Cancer survivors, caregivers and health care providers are encouraged to attend, as are members from the business, nonprofit and government communities. Ideas from the conversations will be used to inform the Cancer Network’s path moving forward and participants will have an opportunity to become more involved in the initiative.

To register, call 774-2200.
