Day One CEO shifts to Long Creek in South Portland

Day One's Board of Directors has announced that Chief Executive Officer Caroline Raymond has accepted the position of superintendent at Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland. Raymond has been an advocate for children throughout her nearly 20 years at Day One. She will continue to lead the agency during the next 60 days as the board finalizes its transition plan.

“My nearly two decades at Day One has been an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many youth in our community,” Raymond said. “I am grateful for the passion, dedication and talent displayed by our staff that has resulted in so many successful outcomes for our clients. Day One’s culture of collaboration with community stakeholders such as state government, nonprofits, schools, corrections, hospitals, attorneys and families will position it well for the future.”

Day One, headquartered in South Portland, is a Maine agency dedicated to addressing substance use and mental health concerns among children and young adults in Maine.
