World class work



Shihan Andy Campbell, fifth degree Shotokan Karate Black Belt and owner of Dragon Fire Martial Arts in South Portland, recently returned from Dublin ,Ireland where he competed in his sixth World Martial Games. Campbell, captain of Team America, won five gold medals and two World Grand Championships for Kata and Synchronized Kata with his partner Jon Denski of Connecticut. He was also awarded 2017 coach of the year. The team of 48 Americans battled teams from 15 countries with more than 700 competitors. He has now won 23 gold medals and four World Grands in the W.O.M.A.A World Games, with competitions in Wales, England, Spain, Germany and Ireland.
