Brown Marmorated Stink Bug in Maine

The brown marmorated stink bug is an invasive species that can be easily confused with several different native bugs. The invasive stink bugs have no natural predators in Maine and if their population swells they could cause serious damage to fruit and vegetable crops. State researchers don’t expect the bug to become a major problem for another few years and will monitor its movement in the meantime.
