Rotts to adopt



Christine Dupuis of Northeast Rottweiler Rescue & Referral, a nonprofit that operates throughout New England, poses with her dog Jo Jo, a 2-year-old Rottweiler whom Dupuis adopted at 7 months. Dupuis hosted "Rottweiler Awareness Day" at Pet Life in South Portland on Saturday, Feb. 10 to attract volunteers, facilitate foster homes for dogs, potential owners, receive donations and educate people on dog stewardship and the Rottweiler breed. Northeast Rottweiler Rescue & Referral both accepts dogs for surrender and finds homes for the dogs, both of which typically take about three to four weeks. See more photos on page 2.
