Members of the South Portland High School Riot Crew Robotics team, including, clockwise from lower right, freshman Owen Vanover, sophomore James Wickham, junior Ben Gaudreau, senior Wendy Manning, and eighth grader Vinnie Martinez, service the teams back-up robot following their return from representing South Portland High School at the 2018 FIRST Robotics World Championships, held April 25-28 in Detroit. Together with the other 10 members of their team, the Riot Crew squared off against robot engineers from all over the planet, advancing all the way to the semi-final round.
