Choro Louco to perform at library

South Portland Public Library will conclude its After Hours concert series with a performance of Brazilian music by Choro Louco at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at 482 Broadway.

Based in Portland, Choro Louco is dedicated to the century-old tradition of Brazilian Choro music. Brazilian Choro has been around for over 100 years, but in the U.S. country it’s virtually unknown. David Grisman, Mike Marshall and a handful of others have helped introduce the music and the musicians to a larger audience, but it’s still largely under the radar of most music listeners.

For more information, call 767-7660, ext. 2. The program is made possible thanks to support of Friends of the South Portland Public Library.
