Library to host Beatles tribute at After Hours Concert Series, Nov. 10

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be serenaded by Lennon and McCartney? Wonder no more. Hear members John and Paul of Studio Two at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at the South Portland Public Library’s main location.

The Nerk Twins are an acoustic duo composed of Studio Two’s own Lennon (Stephen Murray) and McCartney (Al Francis).

Studio Two is a headlining Beatles band that pays tribute to the early Beatles years, choosing songs from the pre-Sgt. Pepper era. Unlike other Beatles acts that try to deliver the entire Beatles’ catalog, Studio Two concentrates only on the most exciting and fun time in the Beatles career. Featuring graduates from Berklee College of Music and Beatles devotees, Studio Two band mates met in a “cellar full of noise” in a town slightly west of Liverpool (Milford, New Hampshire) to pay homage to the greatest rock band of all time. Band members are experienced musicians of today’s generation dedicated to preserving the memory and fan culture of The Beatles generation.

After Hours concerts are sponsored by Friends of the South Portland Public Library. For more information, call circulation at 767-7660, ext. 2.
