On Saturday, June 29 Mayor Linda C. Cohen on behalf of the city of South Portland participated in grand opening/ribbon cutting celebrations at three South Portland businesses. At 9:30 a.m. Cohen cut the ribbon at Rwanda Bean Coffee and Cape Whoopies, at 185 Cottage Road. The event included Rwandan dancers, a poem reading and samples. Cohen congratulated the businesses on their collaboration in the freshly renovated shared space and noted her understanding of the challenges that both of these businesses had in getting to this day.
